Tokyo station - the main hub for Shinkansen arrivals and departures. A controller and the cleaning crew is patiently waiting for a train to arrive at the quai. Once the train has pulled into the station and the customers have gotten out, the cleaning crew takes over. Within minutes they clean the totality of seats and facilities. Once the crew has finished a ritual begins: The train's doors are closed. A red light above every train's door starts flashing and the doors open simultaniously. The cleaning personal gets out and stands at their respective doors, thus forming a line along the train. Their head of service faces them and all bow to him. Now every cleaner, beginning at the far end of the train signals to his neighbour by giving a thumbs up until the signal reaches the front of the train. A job well done.
