Fushimi Inari - between dream and reality
While taking this image, a japanese woman came up to me and asked, if she could take a look at my images. She pointed to the image's left side and said reality and by moving towards the right, the blurry part of the image, she said dream. How wonderful poetically and well observed! I do but have one regret. The moment I turned to ask her name, she was gone. Dream and reality.

Miyajima island has many attraction, but the Daisho-in is my personal favorite, as it's on the far side of the island, tucked away from the steady stream of tourists.

Wooden prayer balls are conntected with the main altar in most shrines and temples. Japanese people touch those long cords and stay in direct contact with Buddha. This wooden prayer ball is around 15cm in diameter.
Funal - City of century old trees and fog
Funal, Madeira, on a rare fog-free moment. The forest spans right across the mountain top and features centuries old trees. Some say they go as far back as the 15th century. Around midday the fog closes in and stays for the remainder of the day, creating a eerie atmosphere.
